We're thrilled to have the legendary Nikki Rous as our host and performer. With over 30 years of song writing experience and a stage history that includes supporting the likes of Jamiroquai and Level 42, Nikki is a true music powerhouse. Though recent health challenges have kept her from the stage, she's incredibly excited to share her passion and her songs with us once more.

Following Nikki, the electrifying duo The Lost Folk Club (Dave Nettleton & Ian Haigh) will take the stage. Their blend of raw acoustic guitar, haunting fiddle, and Americana‑infused edge sits at the crossroads of traditional folk and modern grit. Inspired by The Pogues, Fairport Convention and Martin Carthy, they deliver brooding ballads and soaring choruses that feel both timeless and fresh.

NIKKI ROUS
Nikki is our host of the songwriters showcase and over the years she has performed alongside, and opened up shows for, artists such as Jamiroquai, Level 42, Supergrass, Miles Hunt, Nick Harper and many more. She has graced the stages of venues and festivals up and down the country such as The Wolves Civic, The Glee Club, The Robin 2, Solfest, Nozstock, Farmer Phils, Sistafest and Sunrise Celebration.
Nikki has been performing and writing songs for over 30 years. Unfortunately, the last couple of years has seen her health and mobility decline due to several health conditions. This has meant that she very rarely performs anymore but she is excited about sharing her music once again at this week's songwriter showcase.

THE LOST FOLK CLUB
The Lost Folk Club is a folk duo formed by Dave Nettleton and Ian Haigh, combining evocative songwriting with the raw, earthy energy of acoustic guitar and fiddle. Their sound sits at the crossroads of traditional folk, stomp-and-holler, and dark Americana, balancing intimacy with drive.
Influenced by artists such as The Pogues, Mumford & Sons, Fairport Convention, and Martin Carthy, The Lost Folk Club draw on deep folk roots while embracing a modern, rhythm-led edge. Hints of back-room folk clubs, late-night Americana, and foot-stomping choruses run through their music, giving it both grit and warmth.
Whether delivering brooding, atmospheric songs or uplifting, harmony-rich moments, their performances are grounded in connection and storytelling.
